Following Estrella’s journey from the Philippines to the U.S. has been one of the most exciting stories we’ve had the privilege to be part of—and we couldn’t be happier to see it come to life.

Sponsored to the U.S. through the White Glove Placement RN sponsorship program two years ago, Estrella’s path took time, patience, and perseverance—but it was worth every step. Today, Estrella works as a Registered Nurse at a prestigious nursing home in New York—earning a strong income, building a life she once only imagined and supporting her parents back home.

But just a few years ago, life looked very different.
Estrella was working long nursing shifts in an infirmary in the Philippines ,earning less than $300 a month, raising a young family, and watching patients struggle to afford basic care.

She used to wait for Balikbayan boxes—
 filled with chocolates, toiletries, and little pieces of America—sent by relatives abroad. Back then, those boxes felt like a dream from far away.
