The Ultimate Super Bowl Sub 🏈🥖

Whether you're rooting for the chiefs or philadelphiaeagles , there's one thing we can all agree on, and it's that your Super Bowl food spread needs to be on point.  Follow my recipe and tips for a large crowd pleasing sub that will you the MVP of your Super Bowl Party.

What you'll need:

🏈 Fresh french bread 
🏈 Your favorite Italian deli meats: Prosciutto, capicola, and mortadella are a MUST 
🏈 Provolone cheese 
🏈 Mayo (preferably dukes_mayonnaise )
🏈 Giardiniera 
🏈 Pickled red onions 
🏈 Roasted red peppers 
🏈Banana peppers
🏈Tomatoes
🏈 Lettuce
🏈 Vinegar (Champagne, it is the Super Bowl right?)

Tips:
🏈 When slicing open your bread, leave a hinge and remove some of the bready interior.  Both with help with the sandwiches structure and allow you to fit more inside.

🏈 When buying deli meats and cheeses, ask for everything sliced thin.  If sliced too thick you run the risk of everything sliding out of your sandwich on your first bite.

🏈 Mix together 1 cup of mayo with 1/3 cup of mild or hot giardiniera for a special spicy condiment.

🏈 Make a salad of pickle-y things.  You need acid to cut through the rich meats and cheese.  Mix pickled onions, banana peppers, and roasted red peppers with a splash of your favorite vinegar and a pinch of salt to combine.  Let marinate and right before building your sandwich add in cold shredded iceberg lettuce. 

🏈 Wrap your sandwich using butchers, deli, or parchment paper to not only keep the sandwich wrapped tightly but it also helps the flavors meld together and allows you to make much cleaner slices when trying to feed a crowd.
