This Transgender Day of Remembrance, I’m thinking of our trans neighbors whose lives were stolen by hate & prejudice.
 
Folks like Rita Hester, a Black trans woman and beloved community member who was killed in the #MA7, and whose murder sparked this important day of recognition.
 
Today, we are witnessing a precise, targeted assault on our trans and LGBTQ+ siblings from the White House down to community violence.
 
Despite this, I will always stand in solidarity and be a champion for the trans community, because everyone deserves to have their humanity recognized and live safely, freely, and as their full, authentic selves—free from fear, violence, or acts of hate.
 
To our trans family in the Massachusetts 7th and all across this country: know that this Congresswoman sees you and loves you.
 
And she will always #ProtectTheDolls, today and every day. 🏳️‍⚧️
