## Caption

As this year wraps up, I’ve been thinking a lot about how we measure success…especially in creative careers.

Somewhere along the way, “full-time Creator”* became the gold standard, even when it doesn’t always come with stability, structure, or peace of mind for everyone. And I chased it with all of my tenacity and hope- I could go into where I think I fell short, why I always felt in a constant state of anxiety (hint: lack of systems, not jumping on ideas when I had them)… this isn’t a call for anyone to give up on their dreams it’s just saying the quiet parts out loud.

And based on the response to my career pivot, it’s clear a lot of people have been sitting with similar thoughts… quietly, without much space to talk about them.

There is no shame in recognizing what you need and want even if different from the mainstream voices or doesn’t put you in a box (or takes you out of a box) 📦

We’re all out here just doing our best 🫶🏼

*Also…. technically I’m still a full time creator 😜
