That's what I used to tell myself—like the future version of me who was brave enough, rich enough, ready enough was riiight around the corner.⁠

But one day I was sitting in a windowless cubicle with the walls closing in and shivers went up my spine: because no one was coming.⁠

No surprise trip. No secret inheritance. No fairy godmother. No "perfect time." If I didn't change my life nothing else ever would, and I would slip into oblivion.⁠

So I stopped waiting. And started moving. Doing.⁠
Awkwardly. Imperfectly. Scared. ⁠

Did I have it all figured out? I WISH. And I'm still figuring it out. But I'm done betting on a "next life", and I’m doubling down on this one
