Only three more days until the unflappable FUNdraiser begins! This Fill the Hill, save the date to support human ecologists like Emma Powers ‘25 (right, @emmapowers._) and Genna Garrigan ‘25 left, @gennagarrigan). Thanks to the financial support of Human Ecology’s Career & Leadership Development Scholarship, the Human Development & Family Studies (HDFS) alumnas traveled with Quentin Riser, HDFS assistant professor, to the Society for Social Work and Research conference in Seattle. In front of peers and professors, they presented their findings from working as student research assistants in the Riser Equitable Early Lifespan Lab (@uwreel.lab).

“This scholarship alleviated financial stress, allowing me to participate in an incredible experience that I otherwise would not have been able to comfortably cover,” Powers says.
