We are excited to feature Brooke Gabrielse, @brookegabrielse, #IA major in SoHE for #NationalInternDay! Brooke is an intern at @sprinkmanrealestateanddesign, an interior design company where she works on drawing🖍️ floor plans, creating renderings, taking on-site measurements📏, sourcing furniture and materials, communicating📞 with reps and clients, and organizing the material library. Brooke mentions that she absolutely loves❤️ her team at Sprinkman! They are always open to new ideas and challenges, allowing her to feel comfortable and inspired.

Brooke's journey to obtain an internship at @sprinkmanrealestateanddesign took some time! She came to love❤️ the company during her freshman year after learning about them in class📔 and at events. She learned that they upheld the same values as she did, and she fell in love with the work they produced. She did learn that they were not looking for an intern when she was ready to apply for internships, so she applied📱 to other firms in the area. But, she also sent Sprinkman a message💬 explaining her interest in the company along with her resume and portfolio. A few weeks later, she was hired as an intern at Sprinkman Design Collective! She obtained her dream internship!🙌🎉

Brooke mentions, "My advice to other students seeking upcoming internship experiences is to just go for it!👍 If a company isn't hiring, apply anyways. It is so important to create opportunities for yourself, even when it seems like there aren't any.
