This is Amelia, an Interior Architecture major here at SoHE. Here is how her summer went interning in LA:

My internship this summer is in Los Angeles, CA at Avenue Interior Design (@avenueid).  I have learned so much about + fallen in love with the field of hospitality design here.  On a daily basis you can find me creating concept boards, assisting with construction documents / layout studies, and communicating with vendors.  It has been very hands on and has taught me so much that you simply can’t learn in a classroom, such as collaborating with clients and attending meetings on-site.  Going out of state has also allowed me to  create opportunities for myself in new places, learn about a different design market, + have lots of beach days. 😊 It has been so fun to spend the summer here learning + growing every day.
