## Caption

We love a girl dad. 💖⁣
⁣
This photo of New England sports journalist Steve Burton “standing” with his daughter - Golden State Valkyries guard Veronica Burton - is everything. 😭⁣
⁣
Veronica was the 7th overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft and has already made her mark around the league, spending time with the Dallas Wings and Connecticut Sun before being selected by the Valkyries in the 2024 Expansion Draft. 👏⁣
⁣
In her first season with Golden State, Burton started all 44 games and averaged career highs in points, assists, rebounds, and steals, helping the Valkyries become the first expansion team in WNBA history to reach the playoffs in their inaugural season. 🏀⁣
⁣
Proud dad energy, but make it WNBA billboard edition. ✨⁣
