"Hangman" Adam Page has addressed the backlash surrounding a recent photo of him and Marty Scurll.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Page clarified that the image—uploaded by Scurll on January 22—was not an endorsement of his former Bullet Club stablemate, who faced sexual assault allegations during the 2020 "Speaking Out" movement.

"I completely recognize that what he did, his actions, are abhorrent. Disgraceful. There’s no excuse," Page stated. "I don’t want that photo to seem like some kind of endorsement".

Page explained his reaction to the initial allegations, noting, "I think when that happened, I was obviously surprised. Shocked. It didn’t seem like the person that I knew... I completely recognize that. I’ve always thought that, will always think that about his actions".
