The Socratic method = asking questions instead of giving answers.
Sounds inefficient, right? Wrong.
When you immediately solve problems for your team:
❌ You build dependency
❌ You become the bottleneck
❌ They never learn to think critically
❌ You’re interrupted all day
When you ask questions instead:
✅ “What have you already tried?”
✅ “What do you think the solution is?”
✅ “If you had to decide right now, what would you do?”
You’re teaching them HOW to think, not WHAT to think.
Yes, it takes longer in the moment. But long-term? You’re building a team that solves problems without you.
