Our young alumni are making us proud! Take a look at Jack Sague ’23: his time at O’Connell laid the foundation for leadership, service, and success that continues today
“Some of my favorite memories at Bishop O’Connell include breaking the single year Superdance record, playing baseball with my friends and serving as Student Body President. Seeing the entire community come together for a greater purpose during Superdance and getting to be a part of the class who broke the $5 million mark is something I will never forget. Having the opportunity to coordinate 12 committees gave me the chance to work with an incredible team of students and see a tremendous project through to fruition. Being on the baseball team allowed me to develop as an athlete and compete at a high level while the friendships I found playing my freshman year continue to this day. I so appreciate that O’Connell allowed me to pursue more than one passion and serve in several leadership capacities. 
In college I have continued to use the time management skills O’Connell taught me, as I am a member of our baseball team as well as the President of my class for the Student Government Association. O’Connell introduced me to Best Buddies and Special Olympics, which I am now an active member of in college, and this year served as the Director of Competition for the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Eastern Fall Sectional. My time at DJO was both amazing and greatly beneficial. I have used the skills I learned at O’Connell every day in college and have felt very prepared thanks to my outstanding Catholic high school.” - Jack Sague, O’Connell Class of 2023
