🌸 When Spring rolls around every year, I dream of flowers. The ones on fruit trees, poppies, tulips, lilacs, and more. So when I was invited to Carlsbad to see @the_flower_fields, from @thecassaracarlsbad which is right above the fields, it was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. I walked for hours through fields filled with flowers in so many different colors as the ocean beckoned in the distance and the blue sky provided contrast above. 🥰

🛏️ And I was grateful to be hosted so close to the fields at Cassara Carlsbad, part of Tapestry Collection by @hiltonhotels. I could see them from my room and the promenade adjacent to the hotel. I could even take a free shuttle to the fields, or a hotel bike, if I wanted to forgo driving. The hotel originally opened as the Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel in 1999 and joined the Tapestry Collection by Hilton in December 2019. Amenities for the property include access to two pools, a jacuzzi, 12 lush acres, BBQ grills and fire pits, locally sourced libations and small bites available at The Cassara Kitchen & Bar, pet-friendly policies, and a Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere. The “Stay & See” package at The Cassara Carlsbad includes an overnight stay at the resort, complimentary parking, two tickets to The Flower Fields, and a free shuttle to and from the fields.

🌼 As for The Flower Fields: 
• You should visit on a weekday, if you can.
• You should order tickets online in advance. 
• You should arrive when they first open at 9am or after 4pm for better lighting. Just beware they close at 6pm! 
• Bring a photographer if you have one. There are cutouts in the fields with benches that you can pose on which make it look like you’re surrounded by ranunculus. 
• If you can’t walk long distances [the fields are huge!], spend the $8 to take a tractor that you can hop on and off of all visit long.
• Bring kids if you have them. There is a lot to do on site, in addition to the fields, much of which is geared toward kids. They even have a whole school program! 
• Be prepared to shop @armstronggarden if you’re a plant person. It’s free to enter and sits between the parking lot and the fields.
