TEAMMATE SPOTLIGHT: Brittainy McFarland, Director of Materials Innovation for Apparel and Accessories

Brittainy joined underarmour 8 and 1/2 years ago, and prior to that, worked to help develop materials for UA as a material supplier. Below, she shares how #UnderArmour prioritizes #sustainability and the #environment as we develop products and how our Teammate Resource Group Green Machine contributes to our success. 

“Under Armour has always been at the forefront of innovation and was founded on the principle of providing unique solutions to athletes. On the Innovation Team, we took a hard look at the way textiles are made and have been making significant progress to change how we make products over the past several years. 

We published our first sustainability report last year, which included our goals for 2030. Green Machine helped make this possible because of their ability to share, influence, and gather suggestions from other teammates to help our efforts toward being a more sustainable brand. There is so much we are already doing, but there is also so much left to do. Having a platform to help proliferate these efforts will only help boost our priorities.”
