Becoming an AllStar is the highest level of achievement for a School of Rock student. Our AllStars Program takes the very best students from around the world and sends them on a country-wide summer tour across the United States. Less than 1% of School of Rock students are selected each year to represent School of Rock as an AllStar. The intensive audition process starts off with video submissions, followed by live auditions. Once selected, students will have an authentic touring experience, including traveling on a tour bus, doing publicity, and starring in nightly performances at famous venues and festivals during a two-week tour.

Beginning in 2020, we were forced to transition the live elements of the AllStars auditions to a virtual setting, but we are so excited to announce that this year we are BACK to live, in-person auditions! Over the last two weeks, 500+ students auditioned in front of our expert AllStar Music Directors at various School of Rock locations around the world. Andy Levenberg, our Music Education Manager, stated "this year's live auditions reaffirmed the huge educational and networking value inherent in this process - students and staff bonding and learning from each other in real-time." 

The AllStars process is meant to challenge our students musically and educate them on where they can grow. We ask our instructors to debrief with their students after auditions and ask them the following questions:

What was the audition like?
Did you feel as prepared as you hoped?
Did you bond with students from other schools?
What did you admire about other students you auditioned with?
What might you do differently in a future audition?

After a successful two weeks of auditions, a standing ovation for our schools, our expert staff members, and our talented students and their supportive parents are in order. Now, our AllStars Music Directors must select the students that will be part of this prestigious program. Check back here for more AllStars updates later this month and throughout the summer.
