A couple of makeshift barricades were set up along Cedar Avenue in Minneapolis over the weekend and into mid-Monday before they were taken down by police.

Protesters constructed piles with wooden pallets, traffic cones, chairs and other objects in the middle of the street as they checked vehicles for federal agents.

“Basically the point is to check if a vehicle looks like it might be an ICE vehicle, and we check it out,” said organizer Rosie Averritt. “Usually it's not too hard to see when it's ICE. They've got out-of-state plates. And then you look inside, and it’s four goons with masks on.”
