Princeville CUSD #326 Advances to Top 25 in National T-Mobile Competition — Winning $25,000 and Competing for $1 Million

Princeville, IL — Thursday, September 25— Princeville High School, home to just 184 students, has earned national recognition in the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights Competition, advancing to the Top 25 schools in the country.

The journey began with 2,176 schools nationwide. Princeville first broke into the Top 450, winning $5,000 to advance. With continued community support, the school has now advanced to the Top 25, securing a $25,000 prize and a shot at the ultimate $1 million award.

“This is bigger than football — it’s about our entire community,” said Tony Shinall, Superintendent. “Princeville may be small, but together, we’ve shown the nation our strength, spirit, and heart. Now we’re going for number one.”

The competition emphasizes school pride, community involvement, and national spirit. Students, staff, alumni, and supporters rallied behind Princeville by sharing, posting, and amplifying the school’s message across social media — helping propel the school to the national stage.
