With an emotional Osbourne family looking on, Post Malone, Slash, the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, and Andrew Watt blazed through Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” as the screen lit up with a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and a handful of other musicians and music industry figures that passed away this past year.

This is not Malone’s first brush with fronting rock supergroups in tribute to heroes of the genre, as he and the surviving members of Nirvana played “Smells Like Teen Spirit” during SNL’s 50th Anniversary concert last year.
