Clive Davis revealed at his pre-Grammy party this weekend that the legendary Meryl Streep will be playing the legendary Joni Mitchell in an upcoming biopic. He made the announcement during a speech at the party where he was shouting out attendees. He reportedly introduced Mitchell to the room and said Streep would be playing her in a movie soon. 

This casting has been long-rumoured since the Cameron Crowe-led project has been in development for over five years. There are also rumblings that Anya Taylor-Joy could be playing a younger version of the music icon in the film.
