#ForImmediateRelease: Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of Dan Larlham as Head Football Coach for Stow-Munroe Falls High School (SMFHS). Coach Larlham will begin leading the program immediately, bringing extensive experience, leadership, and a strong commitment to student athletes.

“We are excited to officially welcome Coach Larlham as our Head Football Coach,” said Superintendent Dr. Felisha Gould. “Having the opportunity to watch our games firsthand, I’ve seen his passion for the program and dedication as a mentor that will greatly benefit our players.”

Coach Larlham brings 22 years of coaching experience along with 18 years of classroom teaching experience. He has been part of the Stow-Munroe Falls High School’s football program since December 2023, serving as Associate Head Coach, overseeing both the offensive and defensive units, and mentoring quarterbacks and linebackers. Prior to joining SMFHS, he coached football at several high schools across the region, including St. Vincent-St. Mary, Cuyahoga County Christian Academy (CVCA), and Walsh Jesuit. Coach Larlham holds a Master of Arts in Physical Education from the University of Akron and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Baldwin Wallace University.

“It has been the highlight of my coaching career being able to work inside my community’s high school football program for the last two seasons,” said Coach Larlham. “Being trusted with the leadership of this program is an honor that I do not consider lightly. I know the journey ahead will be a challenge, but that’s the part that has me most excited.”

Coach Larlham replaces Martin Poder, who resigned in December 2025 to take a job in the private sector. Following Coach Poder’s resignation, Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools began the process of identifying the next leader of the program and received interest from many qualified candidates. Coach Larlham stood out due to his deep knowledge of SMFHS’s football program, his strong connection to our school community, and his experience both on and off the field.
