It has been an amazing, fast-track journey to the THIRD YEAR of the Michigan State Fair SUPERSTAR Contest, presented by Pepsi-Cola, we are looking forward with great anticipation to see what the contest will bring, Labor Day Weekend at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi!  The  State Fair will  offer another career boosting year of musical opportunity to the 2016 winner, through the guidance and wisdom of our amazing Superstar Mentors, internationally renowned sound engineer, producer and hit-maker #ChuckAlkazian, award winning artist/producer #NadirOmowale, Indie Music Business Development Coaching from the one and only #JillJack, live performance booking consultation from #2StonesEvents, an EP recorded with Chuck and Nadir at #PearlSound plus cash and other showcase opportunities, too! And, we would not be able to organize and navigate the process of building and presenting the Superstar contest without the tireless devotion and meticulous attention to detail of coordinator Elisa Fixler! Our deepest gratitude to you all, for helping Superstar dreams come true! Yesterday, the 2016 Semi-finalists gathered at Pearl Sound Studios for a pre-contest clinic with Chuck, Nadir and Elisa, to prepare and polish their stage performance for the State Fair! It was a highly productive session for all involved and we simply can’t wait til the next round of the contest on Labor Day Weekend!

The Third Annual State Fair Superstar Contest anchors live musical entertainment at the Fifth Third Bank Michigan Fair. This enormously popular feature of the Fair debuted in 2014, and has launched new EPs for 2014 Grand Prize Winner Alison Albrecht of Birmingham and 2015 Winner Carly Bins of Northville. The Superstar contest offers a purely Michigan mentoring twist on the standard pop music talent contest formula, this year all contestants will offer their own special spin on "Michigan and Again by #TheAccidentals! Sixteen semi- finalists will perform on the Main Stage Thursday evening September 1 and Friday September 2, with finals Saturday evening September 3, Grand Prize Winner, Runner-Up and Honorable Mention headline the main stage at the State Fair on Sunday evening September 4.
