Last week, students in Interior Design took on a real-world challenge with the help of Morgante Wilson Architects: adapting an already-designed home for ADA and Universal Design. Working from scaled floor plans and elevations, teams reimagined the space for a homeowner who now uses a wheelchair—rethinking everything from cabinet and appliance heights to floor transitions, kitchen layouts, and dining access.

After presenting their solutions to the class, students heard directly from morgantewilson professionals about how the firm approached the same project, offering valuable insight into inclusive design in practice and collaboration.
