Ahead of the 2026 #grammy Awards, Rolling Stone spent time with @jbalvin as he got a fresh cut to talk about continuing to show up and support Latin music, how much he loves colognes (and mixing them), and the importance of immigrants to the United States. #grammyaward #grammys2026 

On what Jay-Z told him: "I hear Jay-Z one day say: you got to keep showing up. That's what I do; represent our culture, we got to keep showing up. This is not just one artist, this is a movement. We got to keep supporting our brothers and people that are nominated that are part of the genre. We got to make sure that we go there and support."

On what immigrants mean to the United States: "It's a hard moment for immigrants, it's a hard moment for Latinos. Too many families are getting separated and it's pretty sad. We are really important in this country. Not everyone is willing to do the jobs we do here and I say 'we' because we are part of the culture. I used to paint houses here, you know? Orlando, Tampa, and on the route. I know the hustle. I know the hard work. I know the struggles."

On loving cologne: "I mix perfumes. This is the first one, but then, on the way out, I mix it with another one. And I'm so addicted to perfumes. I can completely wash myself with this."
