How I own the room as a yoga teacher 💫

I have always been fascinated by this concept of “owning the room” and learning how to do this has completely changed how I show up as a yoga teacher 

Owning the room to me means being so grounded in who you are that it radiates and inspires everyone that walks through the door. Its more than that though too it’s being able to hold space for students, push them when they need, creating a cultivating experience of the multifaceted practice of yoga 

How I own the room :
-I shut out all other distractions in my personal life and bring my full attention to my students 
-I recognize that I am not teaching for ME I am teaching for THEM 
-I confidently cue through poses and transitions if I see any doubt arise from facial or bodily cues I ask where they are resisting and if they can resist any of that in order to grow and let go of ego 
-I resite my mission statement in my mind every time I feel myself doubting or anxious I remember exactly WHY I am a yoga teacher and let that guide me through
