July 31st will be our last day offering prescription lenses.⁠

We have made the decision to stream line our product offering and will be discontinuing our Prescription and Reader lens offerings. But don't worry, we will still be selling our made in Flint frames + non-prescription sun and blue light lenses. Starting August 1st if you are wanting prescription lenses in your Genusee frames you will be able to shop just the frames and we will be able to refer you to a great partner that will be able to handle lenses for you. For now you can build your pair of prescription glasses via link in bio!⁠

It’s always been our mission to be able to offer you sustainable made in Flint frames and affordable prescription lenses in a one-stop-shop seamless experience. Since we launched we had worked with a local optical lab in Flint that was a short 10 minute drive from our HQ where we made the frames. The optical lab we were working with closed down last month and we have been trying to make a seamless transition to an out of state optical lab but the extended lead times and increased prices have not made it the best experience for our customers and the costs no longer make sense for us or you. For now this is the best way to ensure we can maintain our customer service standards and turn around times. ⁠
