💡Originally, the Lakeshore East area was used for the Illinois Central Railroad yards. Pete Dye developed it into Metro Golf, a 9-hole golf course, in 1994. During this time before the 21st century the newest developments were The Buckingham, The Parkshore, Three Illinois Center, North Harbor Tower and The Shoreham.
