SO PROUD TO BE CELEBRATING THE 25th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ICONIC FILM “LOVE AND BASKETBALL”. I remember when the film first released. My daughters all played basketball growing up. Savannah even competed in the AAU (American Athletic Union) NATIONALS medaling three years in a row! Often times not with the glamour nor support that the Boys teams garnered, even on that high level. So when Love and Basketball came out, no one in our house hesitated to attend the premier. It was a sign that women could indeed fulfill their dreams in professional sports, no matter how challenging that road was. 

Join me as we discuss the significance of the groundbreaking film with Moderator Laura Coates, Director Gina Prince Bythwood, Star Sanaa Lathan, and the incredible Cari Champion.
