michael jackson notably worked with quincy jones for all of his album thriller — a project that has now gone on to be one of the most successful of all time

but during its creation, quincy jones phoned a friend to help complete the track beat it

that person was none other than eddie van halen, and he played one of the most mesmerizing guitar solos you may ever hear

not only was this done totally for free and uncredited, but van halen also rearranged the track too to help bring it to completion

beat it was mike's first attempt at making a rock song it was later shared, but even if it still turned out to be mainly pop, it still won record of the year at the grammys — and it was eventually found out by the masses that van halen played a role in the song

this was just such an insane story that i had to make a video about it, but did you already know this?
