chayya 🪽[ʦáː.ya] (n) sky, heaven
~•~
she, unseen, could reach with words
  their hearts,
and they could see her soul, ephemeral
  when her heart she bore
passed down by her grandfather, a writer
who too bared compassion in his
  led a people
  freed a nation
  changed the world
his spirit he left with her
“i lift my eyes to the mountains”
so hers she lifts to the heavens.

their strength comes from their roots
but their souls yearned to touch the sky.
