I used to think being a good mom meant pouring every ounce of what I had into my kids. What my kids were actually watching wasn’t sacrifice though, it was exhaustion. Somewhere along the way, I realized that if I want them to grow up knowing how to listen to their bodies, set boundaries, and honor their needs then I have to model that for them.
