## Caption

Single-leg training is one of the most effective ways to build real strength while keeping the hips and knees healthy. Working one side at a time exposes and corrects left-to-right imbalances, forces the pelvis to stay controlled, and demands more from the stabilizers around the hip and knee.. muscles that often get hidden in bilateral lifts. When those stabilizers are strong and coordinated, the joints move better, absorb force more efficiently, and stay resilient under load.

 - Loaded external rotation (movement 1), banded internal rotation (movement 3 & 7), and cable abductions (movement 4) strengthen the deep hip rotators and glute med/min, which keep the femur centered in the socket and prevent knee collapse during movement. 

- Hip flexor work (movement 2 and 9) improves active control of hip flexion and extension, reducing compensations through the low back and improving stride mechanics. 

- Bulgarian split (movement 5) squats and single-leg RDLs build unilateral strength through the glutes, quads, and hamstrings while training balance, pelvic control, and knee tracking under load. 

- Copenhagen (movement 6) up-and-down reps reinforce adductor strength for frontal-plane stability and knee support.

-  lateral lunges (movement 10) train the hips and knees to produce and absorb force side-to-side—an often-missing quality that protects joints and improves overall athletic capacity. 

 Together, these movements create strong, balanced legs that move well, not just lift heavy.
