This week’s #SeniorSaturday spotlight shines on Declan Sullivan. Declan is excited to take the next step in his academic and athletic journey at St. Joseph’s University. A true product of the YSC community, he leaves behind meaningful memories and connections that have helped shape his journey. As one chapter comes to a close and another begins, Declan is ready to embrace what’s ahead. Here’s what he had to say as his time at YSC Academy comes to an end…

𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲: Declan Sullivan

𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: saintjosephs University

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁:
I’ll miss the conversations I have every day. Every teacher, friend, and brother makes even the simplest of conversations memorable. The culture we have built as students makes this place truly one of a kind, and I will miss every little detail of my days at YSC.

𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗬𝗦𝗖 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆:
Catching catfish in the Delaware River at the fishing club, playing TeqBall in seventh grade, and Nick blowing up the microwave because he forgot to put water in his instant Ramen. 

𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Talk to everybody. The connections you make here will last a lifetime. Put down your phone and go talk to everyone, no matter the age or grade. Go talk to your teachers, and go make the most of your time here, you will never experience anything like this place for the rest of your lives

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹: 
I plan to major in finance and hopefully get my master’s degree in five years. My hope is to have a successful college career and play alongside the people who have been with me for the majority of my career.

As Declan closes his chapter at YSC Academy, he leaves with more than memories — he carries the relationships, lessons, and culture that make this place special. With his sights set on St. Joseph’s University and the next stage of his journey, we can’t wait to see what’s ahead. Once a YSC brother, always a YSC brother. 💙
