A year after first entering the water together, Bo and her caretaker, Alexis Broz, still swim regularly. Bo the beaver, now a licensed educational ambassador with Wild For Life Inc., is part of an ongoing effort to help people better understand the ecological role beavers play in healthy ecosystems.

Some days are spent swimming side by side; others are observed from the shore—both part of a routine central to their work together.
