Mascots In 60 Seconds is a fast-paced series exploring the stories, symbols and meanings behind iconic Paralympic mascots from past and present Games.

In this episode, we meet Blaze, the official Paralympic mascot of the Atlanta 1996 Paralympic Games.

Designed by American artist Trevor Irvin, Blaze the phoenix symbolised renewal, perseverance, and determination, reflecting both the Paralympic spirit and the city of Atlanta.
