The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week four of the 2023 XV season. Arizona Wide Receiver, Isiah Scott is the Offensive Players of the Week. Duke City Linebacker, Jayson Serda, earns Defensive Player of the Week. Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Carrington Thompson, Wide Receiver for the Tucson Sugar Skulls.

Isiah Scott – OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

With League MVP Drew Powell injured, one would assume the Arizona offense would slow down. That was not the case this past weekend. Arizona amassed 279 yards of offense, 233 through the air. Of those 233 yards, 174 belonged to Isiah Scott. Scott was a receiving force, finishing the night with 11 receptions, 174 yards and four touchdowns.

Jayson Serda – DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Duke City was dominant in all three phases on Saturday night as they hosted the Tulsa Oilers. The Gladiators offense put up 57 points on their way to a 21-point victory. But it’s their defensive playmaker that gets the nod this week. Jayson Serda was a problem for Tulsa all night. The Gladiator linebacker’s stat line ended with six tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack.

Carrington Thompson – SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tucson at Arizona was a back-and-forth battle throughout. Simply a great game to watch. We already mentioned the Arizona offense was executed well (See OPOTW). Tucson stayed with them stride for stride. It’s these types of games where one big special teams play can be the difference. That’s exactly what happened. With Arizona attempting an onside kick in the fourth quarter, Tucson wide receiver, Carrington Thompson, not only recovered the kick but returned it for a touchdown. Those six points were eventually the margin of victory.
