We’re counting down to the opening of "Gateway to Himalayan Art" at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (jsmauo)! 👀

Our teams are putting the final touches on the exhibition ahead of the show’s opening on February 21.

Featuring works from the Rubin's collection, "Gateway to Himalayan Art" introduces visitors to the fundamental visual language and meanings of Himalayan art. Visitors will also learn about artistic processes such as Tibetan thangka painting and Nepalese lost-wax metal casting, offering accessible ways to explore Buddhist concepts and artistic techniques.

The installation process includes putting together a Tibetan shrine cabinet (chosham), preparing paintings to be hung on walls, and inspecting the art and glass displays to finalize details.
