Before Deslauriers arrived at Syracuse, the freshman linebacker went viral for his physique in photos from his official SU visit. Deslauriers added 20 pounds each year in high school with a disciplined workout regimen.⁠

“That kid can live in the gym,” Yohan Miron, Deslauriers’ personal trainer, said. “We would have to tell him to (not) do more. If I wasn’t there, he would probably be going to the gym 10 times a week.”⁠
