To honor the culture of his home country Argentina, late Syracuse University professor of Latin American literature Pedro Cuperman used his love for literature, research and visual art as a vehicle to honor his heritage at SU.

In 1975, Cuperman launched Point of Contact in SU’s Nancy Cantor Warehouse, which will display a commemorative “50 Sin Cuenta” exhibit until late October. Half a century later, the organization’s art programming remains a bilingual cultural institution in the city but is dedicated to all voices.

“It was always meant to just be a space where creatives from all backgrounds felt comfortable in dialogue and discussion,” said Miranda Traudt, the former managing director of Point of Contact’s gallery.
