A Feel Good Friday Story with mihalimusic 

While I was in Shepherds Rehab center recovering from my TBI 🧠 my family was getting sent a lot of amazingingly loving messages.  One particular message they were very excited to show me. 

An acoustic video & personal message from Mihali, one of my favorite artists wishing me a healthy recovery & “Playing a song that I think I’m a fan of.” 🎶 

 I put it on my mini speaker as he begins to play Jamflowman. #PureBliss 
I danced around my hospital room wearing what looked like a Do Rag (aka Surgery Wrap) and even picked up my 🥍 to give it a little Twiddle. -Thank you mom for the video coverage on this. 😂

It was right then and there when Mihali’s music became the theme to my recovery.  I could relate to the struggles that he was writing about in my own way. 

I remember the first time my mom & wife let me walk to the beach by myself. This was a huge deal for me to be alone and I had to ignore the calls when they were checking in after 2 minutes of me leaving. 

It was Winter in Florida with crazy wind 💨 & sand blowing everywhere and not a person was on site. 

I had Twiddle music blasting in my 🎧‘s & I was screaming to the top of my lungs with his lyrics of (“Lost in the Cold”! 

“Cause I've been struggling for way, way too long, 
And it's time for a change, I'm ready to move on
And yes, I'm scared to right all my wrongs
But I'll be okay, I'm stronger than I thought”

I felt possessed by this song in such a positive way because I believed in the comeback story. ✊👏

Fast Forward to that Summer.  I just completed my first overnight 🥍 camp in Asheville, NC.  This was my vision and biggest goal to complete. 

 Miraculously, just so happened to be that Twiddle was playing the day after camp was over in town. 

I had 🥲 tears in in my eyes smile on my face and for the first time I felt back! I went up to Mahali & set break to introduce myself & saying thank you b/c he had no idea the motivation he gave me. 🙏

In the second set he came out singing “JamFlowMan” with a cheerful grin. 
Grateful for your music & inspiration!

“And I'm not gonna waste one minute of this life
I got a second chance to do what is right”.
