Since its founding in 1996, the Museum has served as a vital space for storytelling, dialogue, and artistic excellence on Spelman’s campus and beyond. Its impact has been shaped by extraordinary directors whose leadership continues to define both its legacy and its future: M. Akua McDaniel, Ph.D., C’69; Andrea Barnwell Brownlee, Ph.D., C’93; and Liz Andrews, Ph.D.
