We couldn’t do a Valentine’s Day love list without including this beautiful home designed by laurleboeuf of castledesignstl. This grand 10,000-square-foot home was completely gutted and renovated to create the client’s dream home: glamorous, light-filled, and elegant. The design team sought to rework the previously choppy, inconsistent layout to open up walls and emphasize the windows to let in more light while simultaneously adding details to give depth, texture and sophistication to a calming tone-on-tone home. With an emphasis on symmetry, elegance and light, stepping into this home feels like a breath of fresh air. A perfectly symmetrical and light-filled great room adorned with refined details and pink pattern play greets you as you enter the home. The ‘bar room’ sits off the living room; its stylish design feels like a posh cocktail lounge. Making your way to the kitchen, a large island with impressive edge detailing and a dramatic Vadara quartz backsplash invites you in to stay awhile. Heading upstairs, the second floor is no different from the first. The primary suite exudes a timeless luxury and a cozy retreat. Calm colors and textures add depth to the soft tones in the bedroom and a fireside vignette is a handsome yet graceful addition. The primary bathroom is clean, simple, and exudes extravagance where a sculptural plaster teardrop chandelier gracefully anchors the room.
