Our Jazz & Contemporary Trainee Program invites space for improvisation as a tool for self exploration, reflection, and growth. Through guided improvisation, trainees are encouraged to listen inward, take risks, and discover what movement feels most honest to them in the moment.

Rooted in strong technical foundations, this exploration supports curiosity, individuality, and expressive freedom. As trainees engage with phrasing, texture, and musical response, artistry begins to emerge in personal and unexpected ways. These moments of discovery shape not only how they move, but how they continue to develop as artists.
