Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg used their 2026 DGA Awards win to honour Catherine O’Hara in the most emotional way. 💔🎬

While accepting outstanding directorial achievement in a comedy series for ‘The Studio,’ Rogen told the room, “Honestly, there’s no one we wish we could thank in person at this moment more than we would love to thank Catherine O’Hara,” prompting an eruption of applause. 

Goldberg added, “We grew up in Canada, and she is and was quite literally our idol since we were children.”

O’Hara starred as movie executive Patty Leigh across all 10 episodes of the Apple TV series’ first season and earned a 2025 Emmy nomination for her performance. Rogen also reflected on how her role in ‘Home Alone’ inspired his own filmmaking journey.

Following O’Hara’s death on Jan. 30 at age 71, the cast, crew and producers of ‘The Studio’ shared in a joint statement, “We are all heartbroken by the loss of Catherine O’Hara.”
