The best Valentine’s Day sugar cookies! 
They’re soft, yummy and perfect for decorating ! 

Sift together 4 cups flour, 3/4 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp salt. Set aside. 

In your stand mixer bowl, combine 1 cup softened butter with 1 cup sugar until nice and fluffy (with paddle attachment). 

Scrape down sides and add 2 eggs (one at a time) while mixing, scrape down sides of bowl again and add 2 tsp vanilla extract or paste 

While mixer is on low/medium speed, add dry ingredients and mix until everything is combined 

Divide dough in 2 discs and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill in fridge for a few hours or even overnight 

Once chilled, preheat oven to 375 and roll dough out (may need to wait 15-25 mins for dough to warm a bit) 

Roll to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut with desired cookie cutter 

Bake for 10 minutes or until bottom of cookie is just starting to brown 

Cool on wire rack and enjoy!
