My entire life I dreamed about being a mom 

And 5 years ago on this day, that dream came true 

Our journey to parenthood wasn’t what I had ever expected 
A month long Nicu journey with our twins split between 2 hospitals for 10 days 

I have so many vivid memories and can still feel the multitude of varying emotions that came with the entire experience 

But the thing that I will always remember and that sticks with me the most is the incredible impact that the nurses had on us and our babies 

The care we received at an extremely uneasy, scary and unknown time was incredible 

Every year on the twins birthday I reflect back on the journey to motherhood but also on all of the people who impacted that experience and the nurses in the Special Care Nursery at guelphgeneral played a huge role in this 

So to celebrate, every year on the twins birthday, we stop by with some marketfreshguelph cupcakes and a thank you/happy birthday card 

It’s a very small token of our extreme appreciation

It’s also a massive part of my healing from an experience that was unlike any other for me 

(We also choose Market Fresh cupcakes because I went into labour on my birthday and we brought my market fresh cake with us to eat in the hospital while I was in labour with our OB)

I am forever grateful to be a mom and so unbelievably thankful for the two boys who first gave me that title 

Happy 5th birthday twins ❤️❤️❤️
