Take a look at the final specifications for this Kenworth T480 build, which is unit two of a six-truck fleet. This heavy-duty chassis is engineered for construction service, powered by a PACCAR PX-9 engine pushing 330 horsepower and 1,000 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an Allison 3500RDS 6-speed automatic transmission featuring a specialized PTO provision to run the water system. To handle the weight of a full load, the truck is built on a 66,000-pound GVWR platform, utilizing a 20,000-pound front axle and 46,000-pound Meritor rear axles supported by a Hendrickson Haulmaax suspension. The frame itself is a 10-3/4 inch steel rail designed to support the 4700-gallon payload without compromise.

The business end of this truck is the UnitedBuilt 4700-gallon Vision Tank system. The tank is constructed from 1/4-inch steel with a 3/16-inch ASTM A36 belly plate and internal baffles to ensure stability while driving. For water delivery, it uses a 750 GPM centrifugal pump that feeds a comprehensive spray system including two front, two side, and two rear adjustable fan nozzles.
