## Caption

In Tibetan Buddhist practice, tormas are carefully shaped ritual objects used in ceremonies and offerings.

The torma shown here is created by Lama Tshewang Phuntsok of Lhodrak Kharchu Monastery in Bhutan. During this stage of the process, he is forming and attaching lotus petals, and applying a  mixture of pigment and ghee.
