Johnson C. Smith football entered the 2025 regular season finale 8–1 — the same record they had a year ago.
But as Coach Maurice Flowers says early in this episode, this 8–1 felt different.

In the Season 3 Regular Season Finale of Brick x Brick with JCSU Football, the Golden Bulls face archrival Livingstone in the Commemorative Classic — a rivalry game built on history, pressure, and legacy. We go behind the scenes from an 8 a.m. walkthrough in an uptown Charlotte parking deck, to the team bus ride to campus, to a locker room moment featuring Red Ventures CEO Ric Elias delivering a powerful pregame message.

Then we go inside the game — a fourth-quarter fight that forces JCSU to answer the biggest question in program history:

JCSU does. The Golden Bulls win 26–21, secure the most wins in school history, and clinch a trip to the CIAA Championship Game for the first time in more than 50 years.
