SM Entertainment has reportedly filed for a provisional seizure of ChenBaekXi’s assets.

SM requested a total of 2.6 billion KRW (about $1.78 million USD), 300 million KRW ($205,000) for Chen, 1.6 billion KRW ($1.10 million) for Baekhyun, and 700 million KRW ($479,000) for Xiumin.

As a result, assets equivalent to those amounts have reportedly been provisionally seized. This measure is said to be aimed at securing SM’s claim to 10% of the trio’s individual activity revenue, as agreed in June 2023.

The conflict dates back to June 2023, when CBX notified SM of contract termination over settlement issues and long-term contracts. 

They later agreed that EXO group activities would remain under SM, while individual activities would be managed by their separate label INB100, with 10% of individual revenue going to SM.

However, in June 2024, ChenBaekXi’s side claimed that SM failed to honor a 5.5% album and music distribution fee agreement, stating they could no longer pay the 10% royalty, reigniting tensions.

Even as EXO returned as a full group, ongoing disputes involving some members continue to worry fans.

그러나 2024년 6월, 첸백시 측이 SM의 음반·음원 유통 수수료율 5.5% 약정이 지켜지지 않았다고 주장하며 개인 활동 매출 10%의 로열티를 지급할 수 없다는 입장을 밝히면서 갈등이 다시 불거졌습니다.

엑소가 완전체로 컴백한 상황에서도 일부 멤버를 둘러싼 잡음과 갈등이 이어지면서, 팬들의 마음은 여전히 복잡해 보입니다.
