On January 12, two-time NBA champion and current Toronto Raptor Chris Boucher joined us courtside for our game against the Brock Badgers. Chris Boucher is well-known in the TMU basketball community, having regularly played at the BGR8 pro runs held at Kerr Hall and our home gym, the Mattamy Athletic Centre, this past summer. His journey is a testament to his character and resilience, which he displays both on and off the court. The SlimmDuck Foundation founded by Chris Boucher, provides opportunities for underserved communities and youth in Canada, focusing on Montreal and Toronto. The organization aims to inspire the next generation to never give up on their dreams and goals. Since 2022, TMU and the SlimmDuck Foundation have partnered to offer scholarships to students of Caribbean descent. It was an absolute honour to have Chris back at the MAC.
